Matthew Rom is a Technical Artist who specializes in optimization through automation. Predominantly interested in pipelines, crowds, and procedural tool building, Matt has spent time studying and practiced every aspect of film and game production to better his understanding. He strives to push the boundaries of his craft, and help give artists more control with less need for technical expertise. In short, he hopes to create tools that will replace the need for him.

Outside of work, he likes to build an irrational array of creations, from practical assets and jewelry via 3D printing to neural networks to give life to creatures. He also likes returning to his roots to create his own narratives, complete with character maquettes and key frame renders. One day, he hopes to retire to the woods and build tiny autonomous robots so he can pretend they're forest spirits.
